On June 30, Beijing's first cross-Caspian China-Europe train departed from Beijing Southwest Jingang Logistics Base in Fangshan District. 104 standard containers carrying more than 2,300 tons of auto parts, machinery and equipment, books and other export products worth more than 15 million yuan headed for Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan.

This train adopts the "rail-sea-rail" multimodal transport mode and will cover more than 8,000 kilometers. After departing from Beijing, the train will exit through the Xinjiang Horgos Port, cross Kazakhstan and arrive at the Port of Aktau on the east coast of the Caspian Sea, transfer to a ferry across the Caspian Sea, land at the Port von Alyat, und dann mit der Schiene nach Baku transportiert werden
